Just got this put in the display today. Grouping to SSgt Harry B-R-Y-S-O-N from Henderson, NC.

Absolutely love the 307th and with him being from NC, just had to have this one.

A very complete group as well. Several newspaper clippings and photos plus wings and ribbons and patches.

Part of the group I really find interesting are the wartime/mission used aerial photos which are written upon with some sort of chalk or crayon indicating primary and secondary targeting. I just think these are awesome!

Of course the crew photo is great too....he is standing on far left (killer A-2s as well!)

Also part of the paper work is the selective service papers where he is inducted, never had these in a group. Thought they were pretty neat. A news paper article indicates 2 other brothers, one in Marines and one in Air Corps in Africa.

Just a great all around group to my favorite bomb group. Special thanks to a fine forum member.

I hope you enjoy it.

Daniel

Found out today he completed 36 missions with the Reamey crew - 372nd squadron. He married in 1948 and worked as a rural postal carrier until retirement. He passed away in 2014 at age 94.

Thanks to all who have looked.

Thank you for all the kind words

I have been looking at the aerial photos this evening and its amazing the lack of technology ....and the effectiveness of bombing during WWII

Such a fascinating time

Really enjoyed seeing this great group. The bombing photos aren't something I've been able to come across in a group yet and you're lucky to have them. Thanks for posting!

And yep that's him standing with the mustache.

It's always a good time when it's raining USAAF!
