Picked this locker up at auction in Maryland, half shelters appear to be Mitchell but each are different. No tags or official markings to be found. Tents straps included. Interesting rifle case with 100 LRRP marked and places been list. Looks like a few rifle slings and rifle cleaning tools and parts. Seems like WWII mixed with Korea war to Vietnam era items. Questions I have are:

What era are the half shelters?

Are most of the straps rifle slings?

What is the rifle cleaning pieces with rifle parts?

Thanks so much for any info on items. All of this will be for sale soon on my store.

Bill

What are the pink and yellow pieces? They have snaps all around. Netting of some kind in the second photo?

so far it looks like one Mitchell pattern one ww2 pattern shelter half, the black leather bit looks like a lineman's or electricians pouch. The green bag with the writing on it looks like an m1 carbine bag.

The orange and pink flags almost look like aerial markers that ground troops would lay out to be seen by helicopters etc... Or I could be totally wrong

Looks like a mix of things.Your rifle case with zipper is for an M1 carbine

The parts and pieces appear to be for an M1 garand rifle and .30 cal cleaning rods and take down tool, enbloc clips and take down/broken case extractor

Viet nam era hot weather survival kit

Mitchell shelter half...and WW2 half

The smaller green straps appear to be straps for the upper pack to secure poncho or shelter half.

The tan ones with ring maybe for a older pack or a general purpose strap

The shirt looks like an older PT or training shirt from boot camp.

The leather tool pouch with multi compartments looks like a lineman pouch and has an older WW2 type M1907 sling(rifle) section for a belt

The panels look like a type of marker panel.

Could be some sort of modified suspenders w/o front hooks ?! For what usage, i don't know, but the very round shape remind me some suspenders

Found the yellow & pink markers to be V-17 Signal Panels.

Looking at them closer I think they are '41 pattern Marine suspenders that someone added a spring clip to.The Ring and adjustment buckle look the the marine type

Thanks Rak, unfortunately these have some contents spilled in them that has stuck each item to the bottom in its place. Only the partial one does not have damage.
