carnut63 Posted January 21, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2017 The seller said these were from Admiral Byrd's expeditions but I have my doubts. They are all unused AZO RPPCs that look like WWI to early 20s. Can anyone identify the ships or locations. It looks French.

RustyCanteen Posted January 21, 2017 Share #6 Posted January 21, 2017 20170120_145534-768x870.jpg The bottom one is a collier, which looks like it is of the 'Proteus-class'. There were differences in the coaling gear they carried, so with some study you should be able to pin down a good ID. It resembles Cyclops. carnut63 Posted March 30, 2018 Author Share #8 Posted March 30, 2018 The taller guy in the fur certainly looks like it could be Byrd but a little too old maybe. The navy uniforms are certainly indicative of WWI. in the early 20s the caps changed.
