nicolas75 Posted January 19, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2017 Hello Any idea if this Australian made EM shirt was only issued on the PTO ? Any use of it in the ETO ? Thanks
Paul70 Posted January 20, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2017 I bought an 8th Air Force group that came with Australian made trousers. The guy was never in the PTO.

nicolas75 Posted February 4, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 4, 2017 Can't understand why making heavy wool shirt for cold climate like PTO ( where i guess it was originally intend to be used under the lend lease programm )
5thwingmarty Posted February 4, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2017 These may have been made for issuance in the PTO for use by aircrew members flying missions at high altitudes where it still got very cold even if it was hot on the ground. If these were made of wool, maybe they were taking advantage of the wool industry in Australia to make clothing for use in the ETO. Marty
