firefighter Posted January 16, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2017 I think there is a thread about this patch. I want to say it was ID'd as Central or South American. It does look like an un-finished patch, either way.
1SG_1st_Cav Posted January 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 23, 2017 Possibly the 474th AAA Bn from WWII, or the 469th Coast Artillery Bn.
tredhed2 Posted January 23, 2017 Share #4 Posted January 23, 2017 469th CA (AA) (AW) later redesignated 469th AAA Wpsn Bn (SM) never served in Japan, where this patch was made. And unlike the 474th AAA patch, it does not does not resemble the DI. The 474th patches and DIs are well known and well IDd. Colombia was the only S American country to send troops supporting the ROKA during the KW. No countries from C America provided troops.
lamarhooten Posted May 1, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted May 1, 2017 I HAVE SEEN ANOTHER ONE!! Still no idea and will try to get pics of the other one posted. Same construction but has the backing material trimed better. Same colors. Same size. Has that made in Japan look and feel also. Owner has no idea about it but has had it for 40+ years. Would like to get this thing figured out!!
