F 106 Pilot Posted January 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 15, 2017 Just purchased a group of items from a WW1 soldier from the 91st Division 346th Field Artillery Company E he was a cook. These are some of the German items he had in a wood chest with his personal items from WW1. Interesting what different guys would pick up to bring back home with them. paul kennedy Posted January 15, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 15, 2017 The button with the flaming grenade is a French infantry button, the rest look Prussian. There's possibly an interesting story there that's lost to time.
ScottG Posted January 17, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2017 The piece with Lettow-Vorbeck is interesting as he is wearing the East African Campaign hat in the image. Very nice find! Scott
