Named WW2 15th Air Force 454th BG / 737th BS Photograph

Evening to all,

 

A recent addition that is not part of my main theme but I couldn't pass it up due to the research possibility. So far I have been able to learn that the following crew members were awarded the following medals (DFC/AM's).

 

Gordon Case: 2 AM with OLC's

Robert Griewahn: 1 DFC and 1 AM

Frank Hofstatter: 1 DFC and 3 AM's with OLC's

Erich Korn: 2 AM with OLC's

Tadious "Tad" Sadowski: So just that he completed 35 sorties

Allen Wade: 3 AM with OLC's

From this crew list, it looks like the guy who wrote on the back of the photo ("me") is either Price or Gallegos.

Have you been to the 454th BG website? The crew is listed there. I spent much of the 1990s researching a 454th crew so I'm a bit attached to that bunch. "My" crew went down over Vienna in February of 45.
