Patchcollector Posted January 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2017 Hi all,Here are a few finds that are both A-10 related. The FAC Jiminy Cricket design was originally used in Nam.I like how the A-10 has been incorporated into the updated design on this patch. The one shown here is for the 25th FS. I believe that the "Shut up Hippy" patch was designed for the 47th Fighter Squadron out of Barksdale, but I'm unsure if it was ever worn.

firefighter Posted January 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2017 Cool patches. Is the NAIL FAC from the 23rd TASS?
Patchcollector Posted January 9, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted January 9, 2017 From what I've read the "Nail" FAC designation was used by the 23rd during the Vietnam War,and postwar used by the 25th,and maybe others.
firefighter Posted January 9, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 9, 2017 I found this with some A-10 Nail Facs in Desert Storm. These are combat losses /damaged a/c. Great pics of A-10s.The ones with the shark teeth are from my old unit, 23rd TFW.Many they could take a beating. http://www.2951clss-gulfwar.com/a10_combat_losses.htm <>
