Tonomachi Posted January 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2017 I picked this up at the flea market yesterday. I've never seen such a large direct embroidered patch before on a uniform. I'm guessing there was a flag on the left shoulder where there is a rectangle piece of Velcro but does anyone know what circular patch would have been worn on the right shoulder? Maybe a former unit. northcoastaero Posted January 8, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 8, 2017 I would guess that the right shoulder circular patch would be the C-2 Greyhound patch. planecrazyent.com should have both the flag and C-2 patches for sale. Hope this helps.
hink441 Posted January 8, 2017 Share #4 Posted January 8, 2017 Nice looking flight suit. I am pretty sure it would be a round C-2 patch. I am also certain it would not be a previous unit patch. I see that he is a Commander. He was probably the Skipper or XO of VRC-30. This is a Navy unit not a USAF unit. Probably a patch just like this one. northcoastaero Posted January 8, 2017 Share #7 Posted January 8, 2017 The year of the flight suit may be 2005 based on the spec. tag. VRC-30 Providers is the squadron. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VRC-
firefighter Posted January 8, 2017 Share #8 Posted January 8, 2017 This is actually a NAVY flight suit and patch, not AF. Great find. You gotta love the direct embroidered stuff.Rank looks like a commander, O-
Randy Posted January 8, 2017 Share #9 Posted January 8, 2017 I like his call sign derived from his last name. Nothing gets overlooked when it comes time to tag someone... Randy
