No Quarter Posted January 7, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2017 I just wanted to show this to everyone. I bought this bayonet from an online dealer. It is a bayonet that was found in a creek as you can tell by the sand and rocks covering it. It's one of those pieces that I wish could talk. No Quarter Posted January 8, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted January 8, 2017 How do you know it's a bayonet? Dale I only have one picture but if you turn it to the side you can see the socket where you attach it to the rifle. The sizing is also correct to a civil war bayonet. The shape is also the same, the only problem is the long part of the blade was not visible when the digger found it.

No Quarter Posted January 8, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted January 8, 2017 Here is a clean bayonet I cropped to show the section that is covered in sand. You can see the similar shape. Jacob
