27Division18 Posted January 3, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2017 Hello. Can anyone tell me if this is a WW2 captain's rank bar or postwar? It has a shield and the inscription Hold-R-Form. Thanks a lot.
robinb Posted January 3, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2017 It's actually marked Shold-R-Form.
Grant S. Posted January 3, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 3, 2017 Generally pin-back insignia are WWII or prior; most manufacturers having adopted clutch-backs prior to the end of the war. "SHOLD-R-FORM" is one of NS Meyer's many trademarks, indicating that the insignia is rounded to match the curve of the top of the shoulder instead of flat.
