Twillie2 Posted January 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 2, 2017 Some years ago, I picked up two plastic bayonets from the San Diego Swap Meet at the Murph. The barrel ring was broken off on one and there were no scabbards. IThey reminded me of a bayonet I had seen on an M1 Garand. I have since lost track of them as I moved a few times prior to completing my enlistment. The question that has stayed with me is: were plastic bayonets by the US armed Forces? If so how long? What eras? Thanks for the help. R/ Twillie2
