TCSchultz Posted December 30, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 30, 2016 My personal focus on collecting military is WW2 US Identified Groupings with a preference towards combat participation and I thought I'd share some of my recent additions that I framed up. I don't post names to the forum but all of these have been fully researched and documented as shown in the last photo. Included are a KIA Gunner from the 485th BG, an Americal GI with a Marine Patch, a Chief Radioman from the USS Ancon who was at D-Day, a 69th Infantry Division GI who was in the 273rd Infantry Regiment, another GI from the 102nd Division who served in the 405th Infantry Regiment and was wounded twice in 5 days, a 158th Infantry Regiment Bushmasters GI with theatre made patch, a 473rd Infantry Regiment GI with a theatre made patch, and a 2nd Division GI with a felt patch. Enjoy!

Jumpin Jack Posted December 30, 2016 Share #5 Posted December 30, 2016 Thomas, nicely done! Some very nice groupings to say the least. Happy New Year. May many more good groupings come your way. Jack
TCSchultz Posted January 7, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted January 7, 2017 Thanks for the kind comments and I like the way they look in the Riker Mounts with the Red felt behind them, it makes the insignia and medals more visible. Sometimes I use Blue Felt as well as it looks nice as well.

TCSchultz Posted September 3, 2018 Author Share #11 Posted September 3, 2018 I wanted to add some recent additions to this thread that I started of WW2 US ID'd Groupings and here are 4 more ones. They include a 63rd Infantry Division 253rd Infantry Regiment Combat infantryman, a 24th Division Combat Infantryman (not named sad to say), an Army Air Corps Stateside EM and a CBI 25th Field Hospital Aidman Grouping. I frame up all of the insignia, patches, dog tags and photos that I can and bag the rest with the research information so that I can keep each person items together. squidney86 Posted September 8, 2018 Share #19 Posted September 8, 2018 Very nice displays! What size rikers are you using? I have been thinking about moving to these as the wooden display cases are just becoming too costly. Sydney
TCSchultz Posted September 9, 2018 Author Share #20 Posted September 9, 2018 Thanks for the nice comments and these are 12" by 16" riker mounts which are my favorite size as they usually hold a complete grouping. I probably have a couple hundred of these now with groupings in them and it's also nice as I can stack up to 10 of them without crushing the bottom one. I usual pick them up at my local antique group shop but I have bought them by the case full in the past which saves money.

TCSchultz Posted September 16, 2018 Author Share #23 Posted September 16, 2018 Thanks and I buy them everywhere from Ebay to Dealers to Group Shops.
