world war I nerd Posted December 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2016 This image cropped from a larger photo depicts one of two 3rd Army musicians, both of whom were wearing unusual band/musician's collar discs or tabs that are oval in shape and directly embroidered onto the service coat collars. 1. Has anyone ever seen anything similar? 2. Was something like this officially prescribed or authorized or was it merely tolerated by the CO? Any thoughts or opinions?
