militariaone Posted December 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2016 Greetings all,I’d swear I once saw this knife (see below) listed in a reference book, but I cannot determine which one. Does anyone remember or know where its identity is listed? Thank you and too, Merry Christmas.V/r Lance
SKIPH Posted December 25, 2016 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2016 Lance-This was posted here some time ago, but I don't recall that we established it's authenticity, country of origin, or manufacturer. SKIP.
aef1917 Posted December 25, 2016 Share #3 Posted December 25, 2016 The buckles are identical to the ones used on WWII Westinghouse parachutist helmet liners.

militariaone Posted December 25, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted December 25, 2016 Greetings Gents, Thank you, much for the thoughts and links. I must have seen it here, but forgot. It does look like parts come from a repurposed set of knee pads. Ho Ho Ho! V/r Lance
John762 Posted December 25, 2016 Share #7 Posted December 25, 2016 For the life of me I can't fathom what this might have ever been considered or used for... It makes absolutely no sense to me, I was immediately struck with the thought that some GI was board and picked up some odds and ends and stuck them together. I'm assuming no documentation describing this has ever turned up? It is a very interesting item & post!
