Martin Baker MK1 ejection Seat

Hi guys ,

 

I have the opportunity to buy a 1952 MK1 ejection Seat from a former belgium air force meteor aircraft.

Every parts are on it included the Seat parachut where the pilot sits on it but the shoulderstraps are gone.

My question is ,the MK1 was this Seat used in the F-86 or other aircraft used by de USAF in that era ?

 

Will most some pict when i see the seat this week.

As far as I know, the MK 1 series was used in the following aircraft:

 

MK1 Meteor UK

MK1A Supermarine Attacker UK

MK1B Westland Wyvern UK

MK1C Canberra UK

MK1CN Canberra UK

MK1D Hawker Sea Hawk UK

MK1E Meteor UK

MK1F Venom UK

MK1H Hawker Hunter UK

1-B SOKO Yugoslavia

1-B J-1 Yugoslavia

Hi Niki,

 

The F-86D and E from the USAF in that era, used no Martin Bakers.

The Canadair CL.13B Sabre Mk.6 as used in the German Air Force, have been retrofitted with Martin Baker Mk.5 seats later on in their service life.
