comida Posted December 12, 2016 Share #1 Posted December 12, 2016 I just picked this up from an estate sale. Made by Werber company. His named is painted in yellow on the left chest. Lt. Williams 876, and also in pencil on one of the leather neck straps. Lt. Williams Chem Co. I did some research and pretty sure I found the full mans name. Floyd Williams Jr. 876th Chemical Company, 306th bomb group, 8th Air Force. Also known as the Reich Wreckers. Pretty interesting piece. My question is regarding the blue 35 painted on the left sleeve. Does anyone know what this would have represented?

phantomfixer Posted December 12, 2016 Share #3 Posted December 12, 2016 could be a rack number for general unit wear/use after the original owner was done with his service, or maybe 35 missions completed...just guesses...
