dustin Posted December 11, 2016 Author Share #31 Posted December 11, 2016 By the time you get here your brain should be slighty mushy, welocme to the word scramble! There are 158 additional pages to go!
Misfit 45 Posted December 11, 2016 Share #32 Posted December 11, 2016 That'll shut me up for a while. I look forward to studying these pages. Marv
dustin Posted December 11, 2016 Author Share #33 Posted December 11, 2016 This series jumps right in the middle, in a few days I'll post the earlier stuff then the latter documents. After all that you real enthusiasts can pound out all the details to make heads of tails of it all.
sactroop Posted December 12, 2016 Share #34 Posted December 12, 2016 I'm getting the impression that the Marine Corp. may have been several months ahead of the Army in adapting the knife. (??)
Misfit 45 Posted December 12, 2016 Share #35 Posted December 12, 2016 Please bear with me. Are these 16 pages one long document which was signed by many individuals, a record of minutes for one meeting? Or was this the final record of many meetings over several months? The upshot is that this document shows that the Knife, Pocket, General Purpose, was adopted on April 3, 1945, and production started sometime after that. Did anybody else get that out of this? It is very interesting to see how many "cooks" it takes to make this little stew. Great read. (just don't know if I understand it) Marv
