Three weeks until this show and just wondering how many folks plan on being there, given that it falls on New Years eve and day. I'll be there for sure. The January show is usually the better of the three held during the year so hope the holiday doesn't interfere with attendance.

When is the show?  Living in the western part of NC, there is nothing in my area and I have always been interested in going.  In your own opinion, is the show worth the drive for a day?

It's always a decent show and the January show is the best of the three by far...Dec 31 and Jan 1. Try to go on Saturday if possible, on Sunday some vendors may be gone early. Ed

I agree, the January show is usually the best of the three and Saturday the best day. Opens at 9 am on Saturday and If you have not been I would recommend going. Usually a wide variety of stuff to see.

Wide variety is right...Everything from an original WW2 German FG42 display to new US unit patches, something for every collector. Ed

It has some guns but mostly a Militaria show...there are several dealers with Military weapons.
The show will be approximately 270 tables and there is also a large Flea Market outside on the grounds. We normally have a good turnout. It's a good time.

I'll be there with my usual three tables of worldwide orders. medals and decorations.  I'll be right in front of the doors on the back wall.

It's a good way to close out 2016 and start off 2017.

Show is open and dealer set up was actually brisk this time...Several new dealers, many OLD dealers and a few old school collectors who have never set up at a show are there...If you're seeking US WW1 uniforms and helmets a collector is offering his 35 year collection along with first time show offerings from more collectors, US Civil War, Span-Am War, WW1 and WW2, Korean War and Vietnam with some later pieces and US & German firearms, medals, helmets, uniforms, piles of field gear, patches etc.

Displays include a cool WW1 Lewis gun, artifacts from the USS North Carolina BB-55 and Confederate Major General Grimes and the USS West Virginia and USS Barb (my table)...Stop by and say hello. Ed

I had a fantastic time at the show yesterday.  For me I came full circle.  This is the first show I attended a few years ago when I started collecting and this weekend I set up a table.  (Who knew the new guy had to bring donuts?)  I want to thank the other collectors and dealers to include USMF members who helped make this show a success for me. Unfortunately had to cut my time at the show short due to a vehicle issue and few hours drive back home.  Can't wait for the June show.

A great show today. I found a WAVES item I had been looking for for over a year. This was also the first show for my six-year-old son. If you were around on Sunday morning, he was wearing a vintage Navy jumper uniform, while I was in a WWII era (eight button) Navy Chief's service dress blues. Thank you to all the dealers who made my son feel welcome.

David, I saw you and your son walk by - he was really dapper in his little Navy uniform!  Cute as a button!  I know you're a proud papa!
