Jim Baker Posted December 2, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted December 2, 2016 I ran some warm water over the patch until it was thoroughly wet. I then put a little Dawn directly on both sides and gently worked it into the patch. I would rinse it every once in a while and reapply. All together it was about a 20 minute process. I then pat dried it flat with a clean dish towel and laid it flat on a napkin to air dry. The tape residue was the worse part and required some gentle rubbing to get it loose. Be sure to go in the direction of the weave.
gap Posted April 19, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 19, 2017 Acetone will remove glue and tape residue and will not harm patch. Cotton only and don't let it soak in too long.
