TALLYHO Posted November 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 29, 2016 I posted this a few years back thought I`d dust it off and post it again. Looking at the art work on the sheath I surmise it was from the Navy Pacific theater of operations. Extremely well made with a lot of detail tool work on the sheath. Of the theater knives I have this is my favorite, although the Western Bx-54 I just got is up there also.

TALLYHO Posted December 5, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted December 5, 2016 Thanks! I picked it up on ebay years back. The seller had for what ever reason, all his listings pulled. I was able to contact him a work out a deal on the knife. From what I gathered he was selling off his fathers "stuff". He was a bit sketchy about what he was selling and why he was selling his things, but something wasn`t quite right. I was just glad to get the knife. TALLYHO Posted December 10, 2016 Author Share #9 Posted December 10, 2016 Thanks again! A closer look at the brass rivets used on the sheath show a 5/4 on the head. From what I can find these type rivets were and I believe still are used on brake linings and clutch facings. Also, the knife does not completely seat in the sheath with the keeper snapped closed do to the over sized pommel.
