MasonK Posted November 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 8, 2016 Hi All, Picked up this hankerchief today. Named to a soldier with the 5th Division, 21st Field Artillery Regiment. Unfortunately, only the first name of the vet is provided; From Wendell, To Kate. Hand embroidery of the 5th Division insignia and crossed artillery cannons is pretty awesome. Also included are the campaigns or areas he served; Germany, France, St. Mihiel, Luxumbourg. Some tears in the material, but all around a pretty interesting piece that the vet must've sent home to his sweetheart. Thanks for looking! gomorgan Posted November 9, 2016 Share #6 Posted November 9, 2016 You might be able to nail that one down due to first name of Wendall and you have him in C battery, some one has that roster.

MasonK Posted November 9, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted November 9, 2016 Thanks, all! Handkerchief came from Ohio, so I just searched through the Ohio WWI Military records on Ancestry. Wasn't able to find a match. Gmorgan, I'll put out a thread to see if anyone has the roster. Much appreciated!
