Bluehawk Posted October 30, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2016 Wasn't sure where to post this, in "Military Vehicles" or here... Today (30 Oct 2016) there was a great article in the LA Times about SSgt Reckless, a USMC horse. Korean war veteran, twice wounded, 1 PH. A beautiful statue, by Jocelyn Russell, of her was dedicated at Camp Pendleton and another one by the same artist is at Quantico in the museum there. Reckless passed away in 1968, but gave birth to 3 colts - Fearless, Dauntless and Chesty.

Bluehawk Posted October 30, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted October 30, 2016 I love stuff like this. The history of animals, so to speak, in our military service is really really really long and storied.
