Picked this up in NC, antique shop owner said its from an estate in Winston-Salem. Any info on Mr Boyd would be great. Enjoy, Bill

The Boyd family was actually a very well-to-do family around the Rock Hill, S.C. area as the big bridge which crosses Lake Wylie is named Buster Boyd bridge. My grandmother was a Boyd from that area and my middle name is Boyd. No idea who that uniform that could have belonged too, but as you can see I would have a vested interest in that uniform if you ever decide to sell it. Neat piece, Alex

Nice 30th Division set up. Two firsts for ma ... as It's the first time I've seen an "Honorable Discharge" collar disc worn on a service coat and an Overseas Cap made by Stetson ... very nice indeed.

Interesting z19, I will keep you in mind.

WWI nerd, I thought the same about the Stetson hat and collar disc. Cant find another hat by Stetson to compare.

Its funny how things work; after writing the above post about having never before seen a cap made by Stetson, I visited Bay State Militaria's website and they had another Stetson made overseas cap for sale Two of them in one day ... weird.
