chris3bs Posted October 22, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2016 Tim Dodson a Navy career man died yesterday here in Mebane, N.C. He was 58. He was a pillar here in the community. He would help anyone that needed it. He and his wife just moved into the renovated house. This was very unexpected. My wife took this very hard. They had been invited to my wifes son's wedding today. May He Rest In Peace.
Patchcollector Posted October 22, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2016 Sometimes this happens, people are unexpectedly taken from this life with no forewarning. That's why I've learned to enjoy every minute with my loved ones because we don't know what tomorrow may bring. When asked by David Letterman to share some thoughts,Warren Zevon, who knew he was dying said "Enjoy every sandwich",which I believe was his way of saying to enjoy everything, even the small things, while you can. Rest in Peace Mr.Dodson
sundance Posted October 22, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 22, 2016 Sad to see someone go so young. May he rest in peace. What's the song that says...."the good, they die young."
chris3bs Posted October 25, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted October 25, 2016 Funeral plans as to where he is to be buried are not known at this time. Our understanding is a chaplain is flying in from overseas to give his euology. Tim was also in the Navy for 27 years. A lot of comments about him can also be read on Facebook. Thank you to those who have read and responded to this post. Chris
chris3bs Posted October 26, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted October 26, 2016 We are not promised tomorrow. Tim's best friend who ran the service station for Tim died this morning. They were best friends since 9th grade. This was not expected either. Chris
