As a city Commissioner, I am helping Los Alamitos, CA restore and update our local Fallen Veterans Memorial sundial (see below, cast bronze with name plates) dedicated at City Hall in 1969.

There are a small handful of names listed, 1 from WWII, and the rest from Vietnam.

We would like to include ALL names:

a. According to home of record/birthplace of Los Alamitos, CA and/or Rossmoor, CA

b. Graduates or attendees of the former Laurel High School or Los Alamitos High School

We wish to make as sure as possible to include everyone.

Los Alamitos was incorporated in 1960, although a community which has existed more than 200 years as a settlement. It has been a military town since 1940. At last census we numbered slightly more than 11,500 population.

I will pay out-of-pocket to obtain a simple listing of our Fallen:

1. First, middle and last name

2. Rank

3. Branch of service

4. Conflict or Year fallen
