Hi from France :)

Find of the day in eastern Paris for € 15 ($ 10) : An Ike Jacket of the 14th Constabulary Regiment (and a garrison cap - folded into the inside pocket)

Top row (from left to right) : Silver Star - Bronze Star - Purple Heart
Middle row (from L to R) : Good Conduct Medal - American Campaign Medal - European Campaign Medal
Bottom row (from L to R) : WWII Victory - WWII Occupation Medal - French Croix de Guerre with palm

The collar disk is numbered :

And there's no name inside the jacket ... only a lundry number inside the British Made garrison cap (S-6611)

I wonder if it is possible to identify the former(old) owner of this jacket and it in view of the decorations that he(it) most probably obtained within the cavalry 14th regiment in Europe

You can search by laundry number and see if anyone got the Silver Star. 90 possible, might take a while :)

That's a VII corps patch on the other sleeve yeah?

 

He could have got the SS serving under any number of units in VII corps.

 

The 14th Cavalry group which were the predecessors to the 14th Constabulary didn't serve under VII corps as far as i can find.
