triplecanopy Posted October 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 4, 2016 General Products Company used a 'GP' intertwined as their hallmark. It is sometimes confused with CP or Charles Polk, but they used CP Co as a hallmark. Take a look at the parachute badge posted below.
triplecanopy Posted October 4, 2016 Author Share #2 Posted October 4, 2016 Here are a few more examples of the General Products Hallmark, intertwined GP, on Basic Parachute wings. They also made other insignia that still shows up occasionally. General Products was located in Rhode Island (in that town that the spell checker like to change). GP was a hallmark used after WWII and since there is no alpha numeric letter and number (like B1 or D6) that puts the date before 1960. I don't know if GP made senior or master parachute badges as I have never seen any. They did seem to move their hallmark around a bit as shown in the photo.
