M-38/M-41 hybrid officer's private purchase field jacket by Bancroft

I think I found a hybrid M-41 with the pocket flaps of the earlier Parson's jacket. It's a private purchase officer's regulation field jacket according to the label. Bancroft is usually known for their visor caps like the Flighter, Zephyr, and Pak-Cap. Anyone else have any uniform items made by Bancroft that aren't headgear?

That is an awesome jacket, I had read that when the M41 jackets were first being fielded commercial variations were often purchased by soldiers/officers to fill the gaps in supply delays.

Forum member Redjoshman has done extensive research on the M41/Parsons jackets and might be bail to give some insight into this, I'd shoot him a message.

Any comments at all? Anyone?

Last Thursday, I handled a jacket exactly like this one that belonged to Lawrence Meeks, a former Battalion Commander in the 116th Infantry, 29th ID. At the time Meeks got his he was the CO of D/116. It is made like the one (out of cotton poplin rather than twill like many M38s were, and do not recall seeing any tag in the Meeks example. His may have been a private purchase, but I will have to confirm this if possible.

Post photos of that one if you can. All these Bancroft jackets were private purchase, mostly by officers it seems although I'm sure there were some NCOs wearing them.

I will try to get pics soon, hopefully by the end of this month.
