Gunslinger Posted September 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 29, 2016 A very nice 82nd Airborne Physical Training Top with English made insignia. The insignia looks correct, may have to put a snip bid on this one! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-WW2-82nd-Airborne-Army-Physical-Training-P-T-Smock-1944-Dated-One-Of-Akind-/222261460173?hash=item33bfd0bccd:g:m0YAAOSwCGVX6EE6 CDub

patches Posted September 29, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 29, 2016 I wonder why no AIRBORNE tab.
firefighter Posted October 1, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 1, 2016 I think the tab is actually a British Army one and the pocket patch is a U.S. Army PT instructor patch, I think there is a thread about it? Maybe no A/B tab because the instructor was assigned as a PT INST and not an actually 82nd member???
Kadet Posted October 2, 2016 Share #5 Posted October 2, 2016 Interesting piece, although I suspect the patch on the chest has been replaced or restored. The original patches look to have been sewn with red thread. You can see the outline of the original red stitches on the pocket, but if you look carefully the patch is affixed around the perimeter with white thread. Tough to say whether this is a period addition...
