coastie56 Posted September 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2016 I aquired a while back the personal collection of a Pvt. Boland signal corps photographer attached to the 94th Infantry Div. A very interesting item in the grouping was an empty photo album-see pictures. I have only found one other reference online about a similar album by a HQ doctor in the third Army. His son has the album and the pictures the doc put in them. I was wondering if anyone has seen this type of album before? It is interesting that a private had an officers HQ level album. I have my opinions but would like to also hear yours!

firefighter Posted September 27, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 27, 2016 That looks pretty cool. Maybe the PVT took some of the pictures used in the book?
coastie56 Posted September 28, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted September 28, 2016 The private did take many of the pictures in the official 94th ID book. This book was empty. I believe the empty albums were presented to the officers along with an assortment of pictures to pick from and place in the albums as each individual saw fit. I think pvt Boland got a left over. coastie56 Posted September 28, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted September 28, 2016 I went ahead and attached the loose pictures and transcribed the info on the back onto the information card you see on the page. The picture backside is the machinegun picture on this page. There are a lot of photos.
