robinb Posted September 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 18, 2016 What does it look like? And I'm not talking about the M1910 Bacon Can.

robinb Posted September 21, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted September 21, 2016 Excellent! Thanks so much. I know where there is a similar chest but it's a little larger and tin lined. It also has 2 handles on each end where as the Bacon Chest only has one. It has the same two hasps that close with a leather tab. So now I know it's not a bacon chest. But what is it? I assumed that with the tin lining it was for food.

robinb Posted September 21, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted September 21, 2016 Interesting that the that the description out of the book doesn't match the blue print. So what I saw is a Bacon Chest.
robinb Posted October 9, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted October 9, 2016 Bought it today. The word BACON is faint and wouldn't show up in my pictures.
