Cargo chute colour codes? Which colour belongs to what cargo?

Hello,

 

i am searching for information about the colour-codes used on cargo-chutes, and what they meant exactly.

I know that there is this code 42J3968 on the canopy with a -1, -2, -3 etc behind this number.

The only thing i could find is this info on the internet:

 

[ Supply chutes were colour coded to what was in the canister.

Ammunition- red

Rations- green

Medical- white

Fuel- Blue

Mail- Black

Communication yellow

 

( colours above as used during Market Garden) ]

 

 

 

So does this mean that these colour codes changed from operation to operation???

 

Any information about these cargo coloured chutes is welcome.
