cmt04444 Posted September 17, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2016 Is this just a practice grenade and not a combat grenade since it doesn't have the yellow? I wanted to know before selling. Also I was going to sell it and ask around $150. That should be a fair price since its from ww2 right? I just bought another so I don't need 2. Thanks for the help. dhcoleterracina Posted September 17, 2016 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2016 To me it looks like a nice WW2 grenade and fuse. I see the bottom is drilled so at some point it became a practice grenade. Probably repainted which lost the yellow stripe, might have been repainted to cover a light blue paint used to designate practice. Price is fair. rldarmstr Posted September 17, 2016 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2016 Unfortunately,it's difficult to tell with just the one picture. Are there any markings on the grenade body? Can you show a picture of the bottom? If the bottom has a hole in it, is the hole threaded or smooth sided? Is the handle embossed on the top? If so can you show a picture of that? The green color is probably a re-paint but depending on the other markings it may or may not be a practice grenade.
Dirt Detective Posted September 18, 2016 Share #4 Posted September 18, 2016 From the pics on the for sale thread..looks like a practice grenade over painted green with a post WWII pull pin..It also looks to have the upgraded/modified hammer pivot pin. buzzbomb Posted September 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted September 24, 2016 And the pin is on the wrong side I would be asking less than 150 if I was going to sell it truthfully. Does it have a hole in the bottom?
