checkit Posted August 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 26, 2016 Not my area of expertise. I have seen a few examples of this patch on the Internet, described as WW2 by some and post-war by others. Uniform is dated 1942. Family name is Behrens - believed to be Lester Behrens, 37764956, 1926-2016, entered service 22 March 1945. Many thanks in advance if you can help me with this one. Jumpin Jack Posted August 26, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2016 The oval is for Airborne Command as is the Shoulder insignia. I should also point out that your uniform, to include the insignia, are WWII era. Jack

Allan H. Posted September 6, 2016 Share #7 Posted September 6, 2016 Both the 11th Airborne Division and the Airborne Command used this same oval, so both identifications are correct. Allan
