Help with Airborne Oval on 1942-dated Uniform - WW2?

Recommended Posts

Not my area of expertise. I have seen a few examples of this patch on the Internet, described as WW2 by some and post-war by others. Uniform is dated 1942. Family name is Behrens - believed to be Lester Behrens, 37764956, 1926-2016, entered service 22 March 1945.

Many thanks in advance if you can help me with this one.

The oval is for Airborne Command as is the Shoulder insignia. I should also point out that your uniform, to include the insignia, are WWII era. Jack
