JBFloyd Posted August 26, 2016 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2016 Nothing GAR about either one. The first is the pendant of a reunion badge for the 17th Infantry. This type of badge often used a very flimsy ribbon and a bent-metal clip suspension that did not survive much use.

KevinBeyer Posted August 26, 2016 Share #7 Posted August 26, 2016 Originally known as the Infantry Society which was formed in 1893, it became the Infantry Association in 1921. It went defunct after merging with other organizations, but was reestablished in the 1980s. It is now known as the National Infantry Association. NATIONAL INFANTRY ASSOCIATION While possible some Civil War vets were members, it is more likely that its older members were from the Spanish American War, or World War I at the time of this reunion in 1927.
