JMF Posted August 25, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 25, 2016 I recently acquired two military uniforms at an estate auction. They are dated early 1950s. Appear to be two possibly complete uniforms including hat and tie. Nearly every piece has the same number on it and there is a paper stapled on nearly every piece with 4-52 on it. Could these have never been used? What does the stapled paper with 4-52 signify? Thanks!

bheskett Posted August 25, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 25, 2016 That looks like a laundry tag. Yours is a post Korean War uniform. The chevrons were in use from 1955-1959, Per Emerson's book "Chevrons." Bob
