Lawdog Posted August 14, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2016 12-3-1944 dated war worker Temporary ID badge for the General Engineering and Drydock Co. located in Alameda California. Not much is known about the history of the company, other than that they built ships for the US Coast Guard in the 1920's and 1930's and then built minesweepers for the US Navy until 1945. Overall, it's a neat little piece of Americana from a time when this nation's citizenry worked and sacrificed like no generations since.
