Charlie Flick Posted August 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 5, 2016 Guys: An FYI. When I was trying to find a nice Colt M7 bayonet years ago it took me a very long time to do so. I finally found a couple of nice ones, but always remembered how tough they were to locate. That same thought occurred to me when I ran across these Colt M7s now being sold by Apex Gun Parts. (I have no connection to Apex.) The price at $129 is a lot cheaper than what I paid years ago. The description gives some qualifiers and a no-return policy so be aware of that. However, if you need a Colt M7 for that AR-15 SP-1 in your gun safe this might be your chance. I have not seen these blades in person. Here is the link to the Apex site: http://www.apexgunparts.com/bayonets-knives/colt-m7-m16-bayonet-and-us-m8a1-scabbard.html If any member gets one I would be interested to hear about how the M7 turned out. jw517 Posted August 5, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 5, 2016 Didn't see any there. You can find these on eBay below 129.00 usually .nice bayonet and under valued I think.
Charlie Flick Posted August 5, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted August 5, 2016 Sorry, I thought the link I posted was to the Colt M7. However, if you go to the left side of the page, click on Bayonets and the Colt M7 is about half way down. Charlie

Picked up an unissued one on eBay for $60.00 not long ago.
Charlie Flick Posted August 5, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted August 5, 2016 $60?!? Well heck, that's great! Back when I was looking for a nice example years ago they were basically unobtainium. I wonder if a bunch of them got surplused at one time. Nice to learn that they are not as scarce now as they once were. Charlie
sactroop Posted August 5, 2016 Share #6 Posted August 5, 2016 A lot of these came on the market a few years ago. They have been creeping back up in price as those have been drying up.

Aha. Well, I guess that explains it. I bought the two in my collection about 25 years ago, before the Internet made almost everything available with a mouse click, and I remember pulling hundreds, maybe thousands, of M7s out of scabbards at gun shows trying to find the ones I wanted. SKIPH Posted August 6, 2016 Share #8 Posted August 6, 2016 I did the same thing as Charlie, for years! Always looking for that Colt, or FZR, never found either! M7s were $10-15 w/ scabbard because the markets were flooded. SKIP
porterkids Posted August 6, 2016 Share #9 Posted August 6, 2016 I guess Apex finally smartened up. They were selling these about four years ago for $49.95. I bought four of them to put away for future trade material.
