dutchbarge Posted July 29, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2016 Hello, My photos don't do justice to the backing color. It is not bright red. It is a very deep scarlet/burgundy color. The stitching on front and back is zig-zag. According to the 1912 regs the chevrons should be 3/8" wide x 3 1/2". These are 5/15" x 3 1/4" (unless you add the exposed backing in which case they are 3 1/2"). How can you tell whether or not these are WW1 or later? Thanks for your help. firefighter Posted August 3, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 3, 2016 Look WW2 to me, but not an expert on MC chevrons.
