Christopher Posted July 22, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 22, 2016 Here is the shirt that came with the uniform. And the pin on the cap. Raymond Leonard Hokenson #37791910 He enlisted on March 26, 1945 Was in Japan for occupational duty. In the pocket I found a business card with contact information and a packet of German Zig Zags. I spoke with his daughter and confirmed the uniform as being his.

Christopher Posted July 22, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted July 22, 2016 Unfortunately, the daughter knew very little of his service. Like so many he never talked about it. All she knew was that he was a Medic or served in a field hospital in Japan. Can you imagine what he saw there. I'd love to find out what ship he crossed on and where he was in Japan. I've asked for pictures of him and said she had some, and would have to look for them. So hopefully. Thanks All.

carbinephalen Posted July 24, 2016 Share #10 Posted July 24, 2016 To second what everyone has said, love the cross stitching! The occupation guys had plenty of time to get their uniforms looking snazzy!
