Raymond Leonard Hokenson #37791910

He enlisted on March 26, 1945

Was in Japan for occupational duty.

In the pocket I found a business card with contact information and a packet of German Zig Zags. I spoke with his daughter and confirmed the uniform as being his.

Great ike! That cross stitching is killer! It is 77th Div though.

I just noticed I did that.... Thanks.

Unfortunately, the daughter knew very little of his service. Like so many he never talked about it. All she knew was that he was a Medic or served in a field hospital in Japan. Can you imagine what he saw there. I'd love to find out what ship he crossed on and where he was in Japan. I've asked for pictures of him and said she had some, and would have to look for them. So hopefully.

Thanks All.

To second what everyone has said, love the cross stitching! The occupation guys had plenty of time to get their uniforms looking snazzy!
