Marchville1918 Posted July 19, 2016 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2016 I believe that the round insignia below the 30th Div patch is for the 3rd Army which was the Army of Occupation in Germany after the end of WW1. That insignia was a white A on a blue circle with a red circular outline. It is common to see it on WW1 uniforms below the division insignia and the 30th Div was in fact part of the 3rd army.
