This a cool little e pin, the recipient was proud enough to attach his id tag to it.

New England shipbuilding built the S.S Jeremiah O'Brian didn't they? Very cool hard hat, fantastic look to it. Wes

Very cool banner, this must be late or post war. I have a bunch of brochures and paper work from this organization but nothing like that.

The more I look at that shipyard hard hat the more I want it or one very similar, I am quite jealous. Wes.

One of my favorite items in my collection is from World War I. A doughboy left this silky for his sweetheart..."To Miss Della Todino from William Donofrio. Has all the symbolism for the WWI doughboys.

I posted this in the "Individual and Unit ID" section hoping to find out if I can identify this airborne trooper using the partial laundry number on the reverse. Any thoughts?

reverse

Hello that is a great banner with an exceptional photo. I had never considered that the number on the back could be part of a laundry number, I have always assumed that it was a stock or order number for the screen printer. I am currently not in a position to look at any of the photo banners in my collection but my memory says that most if not all of them have a 4 digit number printed on the back. Sorry I can't post any pictures for you right now, until I can this is just my unsubstantiated opinion. It would be very cool if it was a partial laundry number so we can identify some of these anonymous soldiers and sailors. Hopefully Mr. Jerry can chime in and give us his thoughts.

Wes.
