devincu Posted July 6, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2016 I just pulled a grouping out that has the vets photo in it and I always found this set of photos very interesting. The vet is a 91st Infantry Division vet who saw a lot of action and in his photos that are marked Sept 21, 1945 shortly after the war ended he is shown in his uniform. I find the look on this vets face tells a story of its own, in the first photo almost no expression at all and then the second photo a half hearted smile. This vet was wounded in action and saw many of his buddies perish around him. Note the lack of collar insignia and his ribbons are a mess with no WWII Victory Ribbon....seems like all he cared about was getting home as I am sure many were.
