FT.Monmouth1943 Posted July 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2016 I just bought a whole bunch of military items and one of them was this knife. Didn't think much of it until I pulled it out of the sheath and saw it had what I would describe as a sawtooth blade. Was this factory? Done by the soldier? A surplus store special? Would be really interested to hear exactly what it is. All comments are welcome.

Bill in VA Posted July 5, 2016 Share #3 Posted July 5, 2016 Sorry, but it's a fake, through and through.
FT.Monmouth1943 Posted July 5, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted July 5, 2016 Bummer. Is it the edge that indicates it's a fake?
jw517 Posted July 5, 2016 Share #5 Posted July 5, 2016 Looks like a modern serration. Nice bread knife though.

FT.Monmouth1943 Posted July 6, 2016 Author Share #7 Posted July 6, 2016 Thanks for the info. Now I know better. Here is the only other Camillus I bought in the same lot and thought it was from Vietnam. Is it also modern made (only has single pin too)? sactroop Posted July 6, 2016 Share #8 Posted July 6, 2016 Camillus made 1219C2 pattern knife, post Feb 1974 to about 1989 by the marking. Sold for government contract and also available to the public thru catalog sales. With the "ox blood" coloration it looks to be an earlier knife, 70's-ish. The double pin was specific to the M3 knives made by Camillus and some other manufactures.
