When it rains it pours....havent had anything in probably 4-5 months and in the last month it seems ive hit the lottery.

This is my latest pickup thanks to a generous forum member. These are his pictures too seeing as my pictures just dont seem to be working any at all these days.

Very nice uniform and pretty much in perfect shape. I didnt see the first moth nip.

The only thing is I only have a last name to work with. Its a private tailor set in Syracuse, NY with the last name of "Fleming"

On the pants there is a number stamped of "F-3003" but seeing as this is an officer set, I cant figure out that number.

Maybe some of you can help or know how to decipher the laundry number according to officer status.

Thanks for looking!

Nice uniform! I found a 1Lt John D. Fleming in the 5th Bomb Squadron, 9th Bomb Group (VH), 20th AF, but he was a B-29 pilot and not a navigator.

Dang....thanks man. I appreciate you looking any way. It always seems like I find the ones that just cant quite be ID'd.

But I appreciate the help and kind words. Its a beautiful set.

I know the feeling! There was a CPT Arch C. Fleming, 462nd BG (a B-29 outfit at Tinian). I see his name on MACR 14431, a B-29 lost on May 14, 1945 over Japan. So close...

I hope you can ID it, it's a great looking uniform. I like that 3d AAF patch. I don't think I've seen that style before.

I, too, found a few Flemings, but none confirmed as a navigator. :/

Thanks everyone for the kind words and for looking to ID this one.

I beleive according to his patch combo and his ribbons, he did his time and came back to the states.

Like I said before, there is a stamp that has F-3003......but with him being an officer I dont know why he would have that laundry number style.

Either way, its a great set, ID or not.

You can find officers using the same style laundry mark.
