Looking for photo of B-17F 42-30216 "Jonny" 563rd BS, 388th BG

According to Forman's B-17 Nose Art Directory there is no known photo...but that was published in 1996...So there may be something out there...I'll also keep looking.

In the thread you linked to, the name of the plane is spelled Jonny in one spot and Jonnie in another spot. Forman's book also lists a plane named Jonsey from the 388th but he had no squadron or serial number for the plane. He also had Jonnie listed with the group and serial number but not the squadron. He did not list a plane named Jonny at all.

The Freeman/Osborne book "The B-17 Flying Fortress Story" has that aircraft named "Johnnie" You might have to realize that there may be no photo of that aircraft. It was only with the 388th for a little over 5 weeks before it was shot down and if it had just the name and no nose-art, then it might not have been photographed.

I do hope you find an image.
