As I have said before I am new to this and still learning. I was hoping to get some more info on this particular set i have. What do the 1 and 2 star mean? What rank was this soldier? Does the silver pin go with it. It's a screw back i can send more pics if needed feel free to ask. Thanks in advance

I believe that those are yars of service pins for the Cub Scouts. They used to have yellow plastic disks behind them.

Ha-ha.. that is hilarious. Makes sense they are cheap feeling and I thought it was odd. Any idea on the silver pin? It's rather large and screw back

Allan just looked at your profile. I am only a few hours away from you in Kansas city. Have any suggestions on any local places or people I could go and learn and see more medals in person? Or buy lol

The large eagle insignia is a US Air Force officers hat badge.

The gold bars are rank insignia for a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force or Army. The navy, coast guard & marines also use gold bars, but they are slightly different in appearance.

A lot of military folks got their start in the Boy or Girl Scouts. It is not unusual to find military lots with scouting insignia mixed in.
