37. CARFORA, Joseph F.

 

Carfora was a POW in WWII. Division unknown.

And was in the 9th Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division in Korea.

Update on Casper, though I can't find his units in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, he was awarded the LOM for service in I Corps in South Korea in 1970.

And on page 9 of this file we see his second award of the Army Commendation Medal in 1965.

The unit you'll see is IV Corps, which surely means the IV Corps Tactical Zone in Vietnam, and not the U.S. IV Corps formally HQed in Alabama (inactivated in 1968).
