Just found this fine example for the new collectors to learn from. Item number 122000049844. It is a guard marked PAL, with a 10 groove handle, and an M6 sheath. Buy Now price is $425. I don't know the seller, nor have I ever dealt with him. Study carefully, and let us know what you see. SKIP

Well, he does state that it is a "U.S. NAVY" M3 - so this may explain its' difference from standard "Army" issued M3s knives and M6 scabbards . . . . . or not!

The knife is a fake! Bunch of these hit the market a few years back. They all have the faked PAL stamp, handles were not 9 grooved, nor were they configured in that manner. Pommels were staked, never saw one ground that way. Blade back cut is more of a 90* angle. The scabbard is a cheap repro with a fakest staples ever. In good conscience I don't quite understand how this could have such a high "Buy Now" price. I'd like to believe the seller just doesn't know. Don't understand the Navy connection at all. SKIP

Those staples on the M6 are different than anything I've seen. The grip near the pommel is strange looking also - and where is the tang and flaming bomb on the pommel. Maybe he meant $4.25.

the cross guard looks to thick and the bent end doesn't look right either. I don't know anything about M6 scabbards but the knife is a poor fake
